(11 is the best possible, 110 is the worst)

Here is a measure of the correlation in the preferences of the judges which ranges between 1.0 (perfect correlation) and 0.0 (no correlation: W = 0.2417 The probability that random chance could be responsible for this correlation is quite small, 0.0059. Most analysts would say that unless this probability is less than 0.1, the judges preferences are not strongly related.

We now analyze how each tasters' preferences are correlated with the group preference. A correlation of 1.0 means that the taster''s preferences are a perfect predictor of the group''s preferences. A 0.0 means no correlation, while a -1.0 means that the taster has the reverse ranking of the group.

We now compute for each wine the mean (average) grade it received from the judges and the standard deviation of those grades. If there are 3 judges and their grades are denoted by x1, x2, x3, the mean = (x1+x2+x3)/3. The standard deviation is a measure of "dispersion" around the mean and is calculated as the squareroot of

       2 2 2
[(x1-mean) + (x2-mean) + (x3-mean) ]/3.

We now compute the mean and the standard deviation for each judge, from which you can see which judge is harsh and which is lenient, which thinks that the wines are very different and which thinks they are pretty much the same.
